In reference with an annotation of approval and recommendation by Prime Minister SODACH DECHO dated on May 20th 2020 on the request made by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation dated on May 18th 2020, in line with the progress of the novel coronavirus, the Inter-ministerial Committee to combat COVID-19 has amended a number of measures to prevent and in a response to the spread of COVID-19 related to all passengers who travel to the Kingdom through air, borders, and river. If you’re planning on driving in Cambodia, you should probably get a driving license.
Types of vehicles: A1: 49-125cc motorbikes and scooters A: motorbikes larger than 125cc B: passenger vehicles (less than 9 passengers) For those who hold international driving license can do a transfer to the Cambodian driving license and they will get a one year driving license. This needs to be renewed every year. If you pass the written and driving test, you will get a driving license which is valid for 10 years. (Unofficial Translation)
As stated in the objective, the General Department of Immigration has informed municipal and provincial police chiefs to enforce the Interior Ministry’s directive N0 028 ស.ណ.ន regarding the management of foreigners living and visiting the Kingdom, which “The GDI will not renew visas of foreigners staying in Cambodia who are not listed in the FPCS”. This will be implemented on July 1st this year. In line with the directive, provincial and municipal police chiefs across the Kingdom should inform landlords to report foreigners staying in their houses so they could be listed in the app and get visa extension issued.
