Similar to the registration process, they have to go from one ministry to another for their business dissolution. ​But most business owner overlooked the a must-do activity when they want strop operating their business. 

​They somehow just close down the office and stop selling or providing services to their customers. This is the big mistake they could possible do as a business owner. 

In order to properly close a business in the Kingdom of Cambodia, business owners need to first submit the business closure request to the General Department of Taxation and/or Tax Branch where monthly tax returns are submitted, and last is the Ministry of Commerce.

​Once the business apply for dissolution, there's a chance of being audited by the General Department of Taxation to ensure that the company are fully complied with tax obligation.

If owners fail to complete these steps, they remain corporate taxpayers and are subject to penalties according to the taxation laws and practices.
